Vale Martha Brown Shepherd
Martha Brown Shepherd, the inspiration and one of the major authors of this site, died on Monday 25 August 2014 at the Mary Potter Hospice, North Adelaide, South Australia. Her family was by her side. Martha had been battling cancer for 14 years but managed to live a full and happy life up until the very last few weeks. She faced death philosophically, honestly, fearlessly and in good humour despite the struggle. This site would not exist without her huge contribution. Perhaps her greatest talent with regard to this site was her empathy with the people she related to, interviewed and wrote about. We mourn her dying but we honour the spirit which she has left in all of us.
