Biographical Notes	Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio, USA Note: When the 1900 federal census was taken in in Gallipolis in June, Edith's husband had been dead for only two months. She and the two little ones were staying at the home of Emory's parents, Dempsey and Martha Niday. Lucille was four years old and Braden only two. Pearl, Tressie and William Niday were still at their parents' home, too. In 1910 Edith and her children were living with Edith's mother Lucy Vermillion Williams, 71 years, and her single sister Flora, 27 years. Edith and her sisters worked at home as dressmakers. Edith's children were Lucille 14 years and Braden 12. Also in the household was Eleana Fox aged 30, a dressmaker in a shop. The 1920 census finds Edith still living with her mother and sister.
