Voyage took 6 months. Disputes between Captain and passengers caused the ship to put in to Bahra, and proceeded afterwards under the charge of Lieut. Edwards ‎(of HMS Samarang)‎. At Rio the differences were so serious that Mr Hesketh ‎(British Consul of Rio)‎ put the ship and passengers under the superintendence of Mr Wethen ‎(Master's Assistant of HMS Lyra)‎.
These differences continued until after the arrival in Adelaide where the Courts heard Actions and Counter Actions.
