Whilst undergoing solo night flying near Werribee last night, Leading Aircraftsman Rodney Elmore Muller of Adelaide received fatal injuries. His plane flew into high tension wires and crashed. The accident occurred about half a mile north of Werribee at 8.55p.m. L.A.C. Muller who was training as an R.A.A.F. pilot was attached to No. 1 Flying Training School at Point Cook. He was the second son of Mr. Rupert Muller and stepson of Mrs. L. Muller of 25 Seventh Ave., St. Peters. He was educated at East Adelaide Primary School and attended Norwood High School. He studied chemistry at Adelaide and later went to Melbourne where he travelled for two chemical firms. His father left for Melbourne last night.
