Biographical Notes

Note: Married late ‎(in the 1890's)‎ Edward Briden ‎(b.1825)‎ and 20 years her senior. He had one daughter of an earlier marriage, Eliza, Mrs. Smith, an "Unkind and mean spirited woman" according to Rosa Lakeman. Edward outlived Louie and in 1913 aged 88 years was in poor circumstances and relied on the 10/- a week Rosa gave him. Louie Briden died aged 60 years at Hendon on 4 Feb 1905. Interred in the family plot, Hendon Cemetery ‎(the Churchyard)‎.
