ROSE, Floyd David Age 73, of Zephyrhills Florida, formerly of Conover, Oh Floyd Rose passed away on December 21, 2005 in the East Pasco Hospital in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was born September 19, 1932 in Champaign County, the son of the late Herman and Faye (Licklider) Rose. He married Marcella Baker on April 25, 1954 and they were married for 41 years. He is survived by his children: Cindy (Terry) Tilton of Lena, Ohio; Debbie (Jeff) Roeth of Troy, Ohio; Jeffrey Floyd Rose of Centerville, Ohio; Susie Kessler of Piqua, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother: Donald (Evelyn) Rose of Conover, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend Charlotte Disch of Zephyrhills, Florida. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Michael who passed away on October 20, 1988; a twin brother, Lloyd Rose; and two sisters: Dorothy Bowers, and Margaret Slutz. Floyd graduated from Rosewood High School in 1951. He worked at Navistar for 30 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Saint Paris, Ohio and attended the First Baptist Church in Zephyrhills Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 28, 2005 in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4023 N. State Route 235, Saint Paris, Ohio with Rev. Oran Thomas and Rev. Ken McDonald presiding. There will be one hour of visitation before the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. An evening of visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 27, 20 05 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St., Saint Paris, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Southwest Ohio/Northern Kentucky Office, 8899 Brookside Avenue #2, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
