Wedding
"A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Nairne Methodist Church on Wednesday last week, when Mr Robert Roy David Chapman, son of the late Mr George Chapman, was married to Miss Doris Eileen Jackson, youngest daughter of Mr & Mrs F J Jackson of nairne. The Rev H T Rush performed the ceremony, the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Marjorie Jackson, and Mr B R P Downing acted as best man. The church had been appropriately decorated by the girl friends of the bride, and the choir was in attendance with Mrs Hai as organist. After the ceremony, the bridal pair received their friends at the residence of the bride's parents. They left for Adelaide by motor, and on Thursday they sailed for Sydney, where the honeymoon is being spent."

Obituary
"On Saturday last Mr R R D Chapman of Nairne, suffered bereavement in the loss of his wife, who passed away in Adelaide at the age of 46 years. Mrs Chapman who will be greatly missed in all town activities, was a great worker in the Red Cross and Comforts Fund, was quartermaster of the VSD, a member of the Returned Forces, Farewell and Welcome Home committees and a keen church supporter. She leaves two sons, ‎(Graham being in the AIF)‎ and one daughter. Interment took place in the Nairne Cemetery on Monday afternoon."
