GALLIPOLIS--Mr. amd Mrs. Dan C. Black returned early this month from Daytona Beach, Fla., after a week's honeymoon in the South.

Mrs. Black, the former Martha Charlene Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robinson, and Mr. Black, the son of Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Black of Hungtinton, were married Sept. 27 in Grace Methodist Church.

The Rev. Paul M. Niswander, pastor, read the 2:30 p.m. service for the double ring ceremony.

Mrs. Black, given in marriage by her father, wore a frosty white nylon taffeta gown. The deep scoop neckline was outlined with taffeta folds and embroidered alencon lace adorned with seed pearls and irridescent sequins.

A panel in front and back was joined by unreleased pleats and tiny self-covered buttons extended down the back to the waist and on the long sleeves which came to points over the hands. The full skirt swept into a flowing train from the fitted bodice.

A headdress of lace studded with pearls held her tiered veil of illusion. Her only jewelry was a pearl necklace, gift of the birdegroom. She caried a white Bible topped with a white orchid surrounded and showered with stephanotis and tied with satin streamers.

Maid of honor was Miss Jane Anne Notter, and bridesmaids were Miss Mary Kay Rose and Miss Patricia Nelson of Cleveland, with Miss Martha Katharine Brown as junior bridesmaid.

Robert Webb of Point Pleasant was best man, while ushers were Don Black, brother of the bridegroom; James Robinson, brother of the bride; Don Robinson, cousin of the bride; and Wendell Thomas.

Dr. John C. Markley, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Harold Campbell, sang.

Assisting hostesses at the reception in the church parlor were Mrs. Robert Wion, Mrs. Allan Romaine, and Miss Donna Straight. Mrs. B. B. Barlowe ‎[Joanne Robinson]‎, cousin of the bride, registered the guests.

A former student at Ohio University, Mrs. Black is a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and an employee of City Loan.

Mr. Black is a GAHS graduate now associated with the A. and P. Tea Co.
