Biographical Notes Note: In the Claimants for Children's Pension No. 336394, William B. Kerr's address is certified to be Lincoln, Gallia county, Ohio. The William Benson Kerr family lived in the vicinity of Dickey Chapel and later near Gage before moving to Wood County, Ohio in 1905. Grandfather was large of frame and in stature. He was a devout Christian of the Methodist faith, a farmer, and a keen businessman. I remember Grandmother as a small, gentle, and very humble woman. William Benson, his wife, their sons, and one daughter are buried in Jerry City Cemetery, Wood County, Ohio.
