Times Recorder, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio Citation Details: 7 July 1959, Page 3 Text: Zanesville Woman's Father Dies Dr. Braden E. Nida, 61, of Marietta, father of Mrs. Charles W. Morrison of 2715 East Ridgewood, circle, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Sunday at his home. He had practised dentistry in Marietta since shortly after graduating from! Ohio State University.
Dr. Nida, a native of Lowden, Ia., was born Nov. 5. 1897, a son of Emery and Edith Williams Nida.
He attended school in Gallipolis before enrolling at Ohio State University where he was graduated in pharmacy and dentistry.
Dr. Nida practiced his profession for one year in Cleveland before going to Marietta.
He was a member of the Shrine, the American Union Chapter No. 1, IAM, the Kiwanis Club, and the Muskingum Valley Dental Association. He had served on the board of the Salvation Army at Marietta for a number of years and was a past vice president and longtime board member of the Marietta Country Club. A veteran of World War 1, he was a member of American Leigion Post No. 64 at Marietta.
Surviving are his widow, Helen Wells Nida, a son, Dr. Braden M. Nida of Marietta, another, daughter, Mrs. George Pfeiffer of Cincinnati, and 10 grandchildren.
The body is at the Wieser-Cawley Funeral Home in Marietta to where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery at Gallipolis.
