Shep's Place Family Tree

By 1881 William, still unmarried, lived with his brother Henry, a bank manager in Oldham, Lancashire. Henry's wife Hannah and son Henry B. were also in the household. There were two domestic servants to help them. One was a nurse.

By 1891, however, William G. Kauntze 43 had married Sarah 32 from Oldham; and they had two children: William H. three and Nora one. The family lived at 50-52 Blackburn Road in Accrington, Lancashire. William was a bank manager.

In 1901 we find the Kauntzes have another child, Elsie, who was born about 1892. William is now 53, Sarah 42, Henry 13, Nora eleven and Elsie nine years old. They are at the same address in Accrington.
