Hide Details Note: According to Florence's granddaughter, Jean Shepherd Sargent, her "Grandma Shepherd was a lovely person." She was "shortish ‎(about 5'3")‎ and plump with a very big bust. When she had an operation, the doctor said he went through three inches of fat."

"When they were at Blinman and Beltana, Grandma was a sort of bush nurse, who would help the aboriginals if they were having trouble having babies. She gave boiled onions to her grandchildren if they had a cold."
