Friends of the bride contrived a beautiful floral setting for the wed-ding last Saturday afternoon of Miss Una Boase, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Boase, of Millicent, and Mr. Alan G. Shepherd, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. M. Shepherd, of Woodville. The ceremony took place at the Methodist Church, Millicent, with the Rev. George B. Tucker, of Naracoorte, as Celebrant, assisted by the Rev. L. R. Barker. Troughs of phlox, antirrhinums, carnations, zin-nias, gaillardias, delphiniums, stocks, gladioli, and other flowers in a variety of colors, were arranged along the choir railing, and up the steps leading to the vestry. Huge bowls of phlox, agapanthus, tecoma and plumbago, standing on pedestals, provided the background. The service was fully choral, with Mr. Sid. B. Hewitt, of Naracoorte at the organ. As the bride entered the Church with her father, the choir sang "O Perfect Love," and at the conclusion of the ceremony "The Blessing" was rendered. During the signing of the register, Mrs. Finch an aunt of the bride, sang "Salaam," followed by the choral number, "Break forth into Joy." Mrs. R. E. DeGaris playing the accompaniments. The bride was a dainty figure in a picture frock of ivory georgette. The circular skirt hung in soft folds to the ground, and the bodice was made with alter-nate rows of pin tucks and valencien-nes lace around the figure. Short puf-fed sleeves and a Peter Pan collar matched the bodice, which had small georgette buttons from neck to waist. The belt was finished with four tiny georgette bows. The full length tulle veil billowed out from a halo of orange blossom. She carried a beauti-ful shower bouquet of mixed white flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Margaret DeGaris, of Nara-coorte, wore a frock of pale delphinium blue georgette. The ground length skirt was sun-ray pleat-ed, and the bodice was fashioned with groups of pin tucks going around the figure and on the short puffed sleeves. It was finished with a Peter Pan col-lar and buttons. She wore a large summer-felt hat, with a flower-pot crown, in the same shade of blue as her frock, and carried a shower bouquet of gorgeous deep red flowers and leaves. Mr. S. M. Lucas, of Kings-ton, supported the bridegroom.

Messrs. Max and Bruce ‎(brothers of the bride)‎ acted as ushers. Mrs. Boase wore olive green figured sheer, trim-med with luggage tan buttons, and an olive green Baku hat, and her acces-sories were in luggage tan. She wore a shoulder spray and carried a posy, both in autumn tints. The bride groom's mother was dressed in navy blue silk lace, navy hat and acces-sories, and she wore a shoulder spray of pansies. After the ceremony the parents of the bride entertained about 60 guests at the Millicent hotel at a buffet tea. The lounge had been taste-fully decorated for the occasion, and a very happy afternoon was spent, during which speeches were made by the Rev. G. B. Tucker, Mr. A. C. De-Garis ‎(Naracoorte)‎, and Mrs. C. L. Gurney; Mrs. L. R. Barker sang "A May Morning" and "Comin' thro' the Rye," and Mrs. W. I. S. Story sang "Orange Blossom." The newly married couple motored to Mount Gambier, en-route for Mount Lofty and Victor Harbor. The bride travelled in a Paris blue shark-skin frock, with duck-egg blue jacket trimmed with scarlet crys-tal buttons. She wore a Paris blue ballibuntal hat and accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd will live at Wood-ville. In the weeks prior to the wed-ding the bride was the guest at num-erous gift parties at Naracoorte and Millicent. Miss Boase had been a mem-ber of the staff of DeGaris, Sons & Co., at Naracoorte, for the past two and a half years, and Mr. Shepherd was a member of the Naracoorte
staff of the Savings Bank. Following is a list of the guests. -
